Coochie Chronicles: The Spoken Word Stage Play is real life! Real sistas! Real talk!

 Coochie Chronicles is a frank, melodic exploration into the sexuality, lives, politics, stereotypes and realities of women of color. This multi-media production utilizes spoken word poetry,popular music, original songs, powerful imagery, and eye-opening statistics to chronicle the universal realities of womanhood and the unique experiences of women of color.

Featuring some of the nations hottest female spoken word artist of color, this production seeks not only to entertain, but to enlighten and heal. Combining humor, passion, poetry, fact and activism, The Coochie Chronicles speaks on the issues most pressing in our lives and communities and as a result has become an ever-evolving work in process. Each year we present new poems alongside our old favorites.
