Slammin' on Main celebrates it's one year anniversary! CINCINNATI, OH--Witness language ignite at Slammin' on Main's one year featuring The Last Poets. Come see the fore fathers of hip-hop in a rare full group tour on the University of Cincinnati's campus in the Catskeller Game Room and Sports Lounge in the lower level of the Tangeman Hall. $5 without UC ID. Tuesday, October 3rd,2006 7:30pm-9:30pm Slammin' on Main is the University's first official Open Mic and Spoken Word poetry slam series, sanctioned by Poetry Slam, Incorporated and the Association of College Unions International. Boasting a high energy, audience engaging format, Slammin' on Main will feature some of the hottest poets in the region. Slammin' on Main will consist of a 30 to 40 minute spoken word featured artist showcase and a weekly alternating Slam Session or Open Mic.
