"The Dirty River band is in town. Let the good times roll!"
Dirty River features best show, class and all blues!
Our purpose is to have fun, explore the blues and share an engaging hi-energy performance that connects with the audience. A band that is not afraid to try new things, Dirty River was instrumental in starting the first blues festival in Cincinnati and getting the Blues Society rolling (Don Schott was an early bass player in the band, and we played on WAIF-FM where Kitty had her "Kitty's Blues" radio program. We were also the house band at the time at Township Fields and Tavern, site of the first Blues Fest that Dirty River hosted in conjunction with the Cincy Blues Society that Jenelle later the next year helped bring James Cotton to town for and which Dirty River that same year played a blues performance during "RiverFest" that was televised. This was all just a small bit part of our illustrious history of which there is much to tell!
Curtis Dispro on Guitar, Jenelle Murray on drums, Jeff Bonta on Guitar and Vocals, Jay Tucker on Vocals and Bass and/or Guitar. We also have guests who will join us on stage singing, playing guitar, blues harp, keyboards, sax and/or trumpet!
