Mars Hill Academy presents Pride and Prejudice, the drama by Jon Jory based on Jane Austen’s classic novel. Pride and Prejudice â€" considered one of the greatest romances of all time â€" is the story of Mr. & Mrs. Bennet and their five unmarried daughters. Their lives are turned upside down when a wealthy bachelor and his friend, Mr. Darcy, take up residence in a nearby mansion. Sparks fly when spirited Elizabeth Bennet meets the proud Mr. Darcy, who disapproves of her family and social standing. Is it his pride and her prejudiceâ€"or her pride and his prejudice? Brought together by a series of events beyond their control, Elizabeth and Darcy must reconsider their first impressions.
