Join Ombré Gallery as we welcome Emiko Oye to Cincinnati with an opening reception for her contemporary art exhibition featuring LEGO© jewelry. Everyone has the basic human need to be seen and heard �" it is a Universal Truth. How we regard, relate to and interact with one another, especially those with whom we regard as the “other” can have a profound impact. In her new series, “2 Be Seen”, jewelry artist emiko oye invites us through the medium of LEGO® and eye imagery, to experience mindfulness and Nonviolent Communication as simple practices we can implement to create the positive change we wish to see in the world. A Japanese-American, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, emiko earned her BFA from Syracuse University. She is based in San Francisco, California, where she runs her two businesses, emikooreware and emikooyoga.
